The 7th grade assembly begins at 7:45 a.m., the 8th grade will begin 9:15, and the 6th grade at 12:45 p.m. Parents/families are welcome to attend.

The 8th Grade Recognition will be held on Friday morning, May 25, 2012, at 8:30 a.m. The doors will open at 7:45 a.m. for parents/families. The Recognition ends at 10:25 a.m.

Last Night the Lady Broncos traveled to Lincoln where they faced some great competition. Both teams had some outstanding efforts. Sadly, the Lady Broncos were defeated by 9 points. Final Team scores were: Bedford 64 - Lincoln 73

The Lady Broncos swept the Long Jump event with Ashley Wagenhauser taking first, Alexa Libstorff 2nd and Gabi Cole 3rd

and the 400 Meter Relay team of Alyssa Lowe, Josie Groll, Gabi Cole and Taylor Balcerzak
The boys track team lost a close one to Lincoln yesterday.

What this means for students is, if you are here at the school or library, your favorites, without any reason you will face a $500 fine. If you refuse to leave the property, you will be faced with the fine and could spend time in the Monroe County Youth Center for up to 90 days. Go home and do your homework after school.

Samantha Synowka went 1 for 2 with 1 run.
Meegan Smith went 3 for 3 with 3 stolen bases.
Taylor Haberland went 1 for 2 with 1 run & 1 stolen base.
Megan Cook went 1 for 1.
Kristin Hill went 1 for 3 with 1 run.
Ashley Manore contributed 1 run.
Samantha Synowka & Macy Maraugha combined to pitch a nice game against St. Mary's.

The girls played a great game against St. Charles.
Taylor Haberland went 4 for 5 with 4 runs.
Jaycie Harris went 2 for 5 with 2 runs and got her first hit of the season! Great job Jaycie!
Megan Cook went 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 1 stolen base.
Kristin Hill went 4 for 5 with 2 runs and 1 stolen base.
Samantha Synowka went 2 for 2 and scored 1 run.
Claire Morgan had a GRAND SLAM! She went 2 for 4 with 3 runs, and 4 RBI's.

We had a total of 23 hits. So proud of these girls!
Jaycie Harris and Molly Vogel pitched a very good game against St. Charles.

Last night the 8th grade softball team “mercied” St. Charles. Madalyn Spohler pitched well, Allison Rose had 2 great hits and Amanda Sexton played well in the second game. They lost to St. Mary’s 12-15. Peyton Foster had 2 doubles and Alyse Geiger caught well.

Good luck to the track athletes at their away meet with Lincoln. There is not an early dismissal. Go Boncos!!

The track meet scheduled for this afternoon with Tecumseh has been cancelled due to the weather!
SOFTBALL
The Bedford 8th grade girls beat Mason last Thursday 2-1, and then tied them 2-2 in the second game. Peyton Foster threw her second no-hitter, striking out the first 11 batters before a few walks and a couple of bad throws allowed Mason to score. Peyton finished with 13 strikeouts. Emily Witaszek and Madalyn Spohler each had 2 hits in the doubleheader. Madalyn pitched the first game and allowed only 2 hits.
