Once again, our junior high school students, in partnership with the Bedford Lions Club, will be sponsoring the BJHS Annual Holiday Food Drive for families who are in need of community support this season.  Please consider donating to our food drive by having your child bring in a non-perishable food item (no glass jars, please). Our drive continues for two weeks and students are encouraged to bring items to their first hour teacher. The drive will end on Friday, December 8th.

The class with the most items donated gets a breakfast from Mr. Lopinski. The student that brings in the most items (minimum of 10 items) wins a free pass to the Christmas Party and a free iced chocolate drink!

HOSA REGIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
AT BEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL
DECEMBER 2, 2023

Extracurricular opportunities give our students a chance to shine in areas they are interested in. One of the many opportunities offered at Bedford is HOSA...geared toward future health professionals. Both the high school and junior high school have HOSA chapters and have enjoyed much success since their inception with students advancing all the way to the international level of competition!

This year is another first for the HOSA program at Bedford. We will be hosting the HOSA Regional Leadership Conference on December 2nd. With an estimated 700 participants, we need lots of help...especially judges in a variety of health and medical related categories. There are also additional volunteer opportunities that do not require any medical expertise.

The conference will begin at approximately 8 am, with events running most of the morning and the awards ceremony starting at approximately 2 pm.

Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer at the HOSA Regional Leadership Conference at Bedford High School on Saturday, December 2, is asked to complete the following form: https://forms.gle/cmfURKZjpccBtJHW6. A list of judging categories is included in the form.

Please reach out to Jennifer Regalado at [email protected] with any questions.

To find out more about HOSA, visit hosa.org.

Mega Loop map thumbnailMega-Loop Map

You will enter the north drive on the side of the junior high closest to the Bedford Public Library. You will travel behind the junior high and then continue towards the stadium, you will follow the new drive that circles around the north side of the high school building, runs parallel with the bus depot parking lot, turns to run along the south side of the junior high before passing behind the junior high and finally exiting out onto Jackman Road on the same drive that you entered on. You can drop off students at both the high school and the junior high using the Mega-Loop. A gate located in front of the stadium will be closed during the arrival and dismissal times that will prevent thru traffic from the junior high and high school. Please follow the direction of school personnel.
