Potential Hazardous Weather

Update from the Superintendent, Dr. Carl Shultz

Good Afternoon Bedford Families,

While I was hoping that I could place my amateur meteorologist hat back on the shelf for the rest of the year, it appears that the Michigan Spring Weather has other ideas.  We are tracking a potential severe weather pattern that is heading our way for this afternoon. As of now, it looks like a storm could be arriving between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm.  If severe weather does arrive during our scheduled end of the day release times, we will plan accordingly and may need to delay busing or student release for just a brief moment. The major concerns with today's weather are potential high winds and hail. Any necessary delay would be brief and then we would resume as normal when safe. Again, this message is intended only as a worst case scenario and we are planning to release as normal. If there is a need to change any after school event schedules, individual coaches or directors will make the announcement. As always, thank you for your support and partnership in making Bedford Public Schools the best district in the state.
