VIRTUAL BOOK FAIR OPEN THROUGH DEC. 3rd

Visit the Online Book FairSince the Book Fair can not be set up at the school this year, we have decided to bring it to you! What a perfect time to check out all the book selections over the school break! Free shipping to you for purchases (books only) over $25.

BPS FOOD SERVICE MEAL PICK-UP DAYS/TIMES/LOCATIONS

 MEAL PICK UP DAYS:
Monday and Thursday
(Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for 7 full days)

*** Masks are required to be worn by the person picking up the meals. ***

PICK UP LOCATIONS:
1) Bedford High School Cafeteria
2) Monroe Road Elementary Cafeteria
3) District bus will distribute meals at Northtowne Meadows at the clubhouse: 2-2:30 pm.
4) District bus will distribute meals at Inverness Community at
-- Preswick and Andrews: 1:15-1:30 pm
-- Highlands and Glasgow: 1:30-1:45 pm.
PICK UP TIMES: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm unless otherwise noted.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Bedford Public Schools will continue utilizing a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to provide all school aged community family members with seven days worth of FREE breakfast and lunches. The pick-up locations have been selected based on the capacity of our individual school building kitchens. The bus distribution site was selected based on the area with the largest concentration of school age children within the district. The orders will be delivered to the school as usual and we will have a curbside system for pickup. All orders not picked up on delivery day, due to the product being perishable, will be considered a donation to the school. Kleinhenn and the school will not be responsible for orders not picked up.

We have switched our emergency notification alert services from Honeywell to School Messenger. Your email and the phone number you have on record with the district will be accessed from our information database to send our emails and calls. If you want to receive any of the alerts as a text message, you will need to opt-in by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 on your mobile phone. You can also opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop.” Note: the phone number you want to get the text message sent to must also be the one listed in our records. You will get a reply message letting you know if you successfully opted-in for this service. (If you do not want the texts, you do not have to do anything....no text messaging is the default setting.)

BJHS SPORTS NEWS

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
The boys cross country team did it! They finished their 2020 season Undefeated with a perfect 8-0 record with their sweep of Tecumseh yesterday. The amazing Aiden D. won his 6th race of the season, and with his best time ever, 11:43. Colin B. was second followed closely by Bryce M., Dylan S., Brandon M., Jordan B., Sawyer U. and Owen P. Most of the boys ran their best race of the year. Great job boys on a great 2020 cross country season. (10-15-2020)

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
On Saturday the girls cross country team took on Dundee and WON! Our tops scoring racers were Iva R. with 14.02, Maddy T with 14.15., Anika H. with 41.48, Aubrey M. with 14.57, Sophia J. with 15.10, Maddie T. with 15.17, and Adelle R. with 15.19. 28 girls earned personal records. Way to go ladies! (9/22/2020)

FOOTBALL
The 7th grade football team crushed Saline 52-8 last night! Nice job boys!!
The 7th grade have their last game at home next Tuesday!

The 8th grade football team fought hard but ended with a loss to Saline 42-36.
Great season to the 8th grade boys!! (10-28-2020)

VOLLEYBALL
The 7th grade girls volleyball team had a tough loss against Saline and fought hard till the end last night.
29-31L, 25-7W,17-25L. All the girls played well and had a great season! The girls all showed great
improvement! (10-28-2020)

The 8th grade girls volleyball team ended their season undefeated away at Saline. 25-23 W 25-9 W
25-11 L The girls pulled through and had an awesome season no matter the obstacles they faced. From bugs swarming them on the tennis courts during tryouts to having to wear masks. The entire team should be proud of their efforts this season. They went 13-0. Go Mules! (10-28-2020)

SPECTATORS

* Masks must be worn at all times by all participants, coaches, officials, and spectators.
* Spectators must maintain social distancing while in stands or on the grounds.
* Each participant is allowed 2 passes for each contest from both home and away teams.
-- These names must be submitted 24 hours prior to the contest and those listed, and only those listed, will be allowed entrance into the event. There will be no exceptions for extended families or children. The 2 per-participant rule will be strictly followed.
-- The pass list will act as a Covid tracking document.
-- Invited spectators may be changed from contest to contest.
* Admission costs will vary from school to school. For Bedford, each admission is $5.
* Concessions will be closed. Spectators may bring in clear plastic bottled water only.
* The facilities will be cleared of all spectators between levels (Sub varsity- Varsity).
* This situation continues to be fluid and may change at any time. It has been announced that the limits for spectators will be raised beginning Oct 9th. We will have a decision of how that will proceed well in advance of the opening date.
