WELCOME!

We are very proud of our students, programs, and building. We believe that quality education can be achieved through high expectations of student performance and behavior; strong family/school/ community/ partnerships; and a dedicated, enthusiastic staff committed to providing the best education possible for the students at Monroe Road Elementary.

We opened out doors in August 2001. We teach students from the Young Fives program up to 5th Grade.

Our Mission:
We work together to provide an enjoyable safe haven where students receive individual academic challenges.
We help develop character and thinking skills that encourage them to thoughtfully contribute to society.

Our Vision:
Every Child...A Success Story!

We Believe in TEAMWORK:

T
Together everyone achieves more.

E
Education should extend beyond the classroom walls including field studies, access to community resources, and an emphasis on the great outdoors.

A
All children can learn and should grow academically and socially each year.

M
Making technology an integrated part of our learning environment will help children to live and learn in an ever-changing world.

W
When children see their school as a community, and are provided opportunities for community service at school and in their neighborhoods, it builds citizenship.

O
Our curriculum is mapped, varied, integrated, and based on high standards.

R
Responsibility for oneself and others and their individual differences creates an environment where everyone can thrive.

K
Keeping our school improvement goals focused on enhanced learning for all students will provide direction for our program.

TO REPORT A SCHOOL ABSENCE: Call 850-6820

You must call 850-6820 when your child is ill or will not be in school for any other reason. We worry when your child has not arrived at school. Our health aide will record the absence. When your child returns to school after any absence, it is necessary that a note be sent to the teacher explaining why the child was absent. Requests for homework can be called in to the Health Room.

VISITORS OF MRE MUST:

  • Use front entrance.

  • Present ID, sign in at the front office and obtain a name badge.

  • Parents must sign students out in our main office and remain there until the student reports to the office for departure with his/her parent.

  • Parents should not go down to classrooms unless scheduled to volunteer. Thank you for keeping our students safe!!

MRE SCHOOL TRAFFIC FLOW

Please keep our students safe by being patient while dropping students off before school and picking students up at the end of the day. Please pull around the circle as far as possible and drop/pick up on the curb side of the driveway. We have had several accidents when someone tries to cut in front of other cars. We will have school staff assisting in the front to keep it safe for everyone. Please watch for their signals. ~Thank you
